The Ferreira de Castro municipal library is located in Oliveira de Azeméis, a district in northern Portugal with around 70 000 inhabitants. It was named after the writer Ferreira de Castro, who was born in the area.

Júlio Teixeira Municipal Library is the central library of Vila Real, a municipality on northern Portugal of about 50 000 inhabitants.
It is a two-storey T-shaped building. One of its main features is the entrance tunnel which leads to the atrium.
The entrance hall and the multipurpose room are located on the upper floor of the west-east wing. The adult’s lending and multimedia areas are located on the upper floor of the north-south wing, and the children's room on the ground floor.

Ílhavo City Library is located in the remains of the Manor Visconde de Almeida, a noble house from the 17th-18th century, later transformed and demolished. From the original building only the main façade, oriented southeast, and the chapel, both in ruins, were left.

Bento de Jesus Caraça Municipal library is the central library of Moita, a municipality of the Lisbon region serving an urban population of 67.000. It is located on the city’s park and it opened to the public on May 1997.
The building is design by Raúl Hestnes Ferreira. It’s main feature is the use of brick along with white concrete. The brick is mostly used in walls and closed spaces while concrete is associated with large windows in the main entrance and reading rooms.

Almeida Garrett Library, named after a Portuguese 19th century writer, is Oporto's main library. Located in Oporto’s Cristal Palace Gardens, the building houses the library, an exhibitions gallery and an auditorium.

Viana do Castelo Municipal Library is located along the right bank of the river Lima. It integrates the plan designed by Fernando Távora for the city’s waterfront.

It was build over an ancient prison. Only the façade of the prison was kept.
